# Google AI Overview API for AI agents

> Check whether Google shows an AI Overview for a keyword and which pages it cites, through MCP. Track AI Overview citations for your site.

`get_ai_overview_sources` on the [Google SERP API MCP](https://docs.crakseo.com/mcp-servers/serp-api.md) and the [AI Search Visibility MCP](https://docs.crakseo.com/mcp-servers/ai-visibility.md) tells your AI whether Google shows an AI Overview for a keyword and lists the pages and domains it cites.

## Example prompts

* "For these 20 keywords, which ones show an AI Overview, and is example.com cited in any of them?"
* "Which domains does Google's AI Overview cite most for 'how to submit a sitemap'?"

Values are placeholders. Pass `domain` to get `domainCited`; without it, `domainCited` is `null`. AI Overviews vary by location, language, time and user, so treat one check as a sample, not a fixed ranking.
