# Local agent setup

> Connect Claude Code or Copilot CLI on your machine with one command.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Available on legacy plans. New workspaces don't include agents; workspaces created before the CrakSEO launch keep them. To give a local AI SEO data, use the [SEO MCP servers](https://docs.crakseo.com/seo-mcp/overview.md) instead.

**Settings > API keys > Local browser agent** (`/app/settings/keys`) connects a local Claude Code or Copilot CLI agent to CrakSEO's MCP server and prepares a dedicated browser profile for Playwright MCP.

1. Choose your client and create a single-use setup code (valid for 10 minutes).
2. Run the command shown. It downloads the setup CLI from the app and redeems the code:

```bash theme={null}
npx -y "https://<app-origin>/downloads/<setup-tarball>.tgz" connect --origin https://<app-origin> --code <setup-code>
```

3. The CLI writes MCP config entries for your client and stores a machine token locally. The token is never printed.

## CLI commands

| Command | Purpose |
| - | - |
| `connect` | Redeem a setup code and configure the client |
| `doctor` | Check the local setup |
| `status` | Show connection status |
| `repair` | Rewrite config entries |
| `disconnect` | Revoke and remove the local connection |

The CLI only manages its own dedicated browser profile. You handle logins, CAPTCHA, MFA, terms, identity and payment yourself; the CLI never reads passwords, codes, cookies or browser state. Revoke a connection from the same page.
