> ## Agent Instructions
> For SEO data and indexing, start with /seo-mcp/overview.md and /seo-mcp/connect.md, then read the focused server reference.
> The documentation search MCP at https://docs.crakseo.com/mcp searches documentation only. Product tools use https://crakseo.com/mcp/<server>.
> Check tool availability and API credit balance before paid calls. Request owner approval for paid indexing. Never invent prices, indexing guarantees or directory approval.

# Indexing MCP

> The dedicated indexing-only MCP endpoint.

`POST /api/indexing/mcp` exposes only the indexing tools. `GET` and `DELETE` return 405. The server reports the name `crakseo-indexing` (earlier versions said `bblg-indexing`); it is a display name only, and your client identifies the server by its own config key.

For new setups, the [URL Indexing MCP](https://docs.crakseo.com/mcp-servers/url-indexing.md) at `/mcp/url-indexing` offers the same account tools plus free IndexNow and Bing submission.

| Tool | Scope | Purpose |
| - | - | - |
| `get_indexing_account` | `indexing:read` | Prepaid credits, readiness and limits |
| `quote_indexing_submission` | `indexing:submit` | Preview up to 100 URLs and create an expiring quote |
| `submit_indexing_urls` | `indexing:submit` | Submit a saved quote once, with its `quoteId` and `idempotencyKey` |
| `get_indexing_job` | `indexing:read` | One job and up to 100 URL records |
| `list_indexing_jobs` | `indexing:read` | Workspace jobs, cursor-paginated |

## Authentication

* OAuth 2.0 with PKCE: discovery metadata is published under `/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server/api/indexing/oauth` and `/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/api/indexing/mcp`.
* Or a manual bearer key created in **Settings > API keys > Indexing-only keys** (`/app/settings/keys`).
* `indexing:submit` implies `indexing:read` but never approves spend on its own.
* Requests are limited to 2 per second and 30 per minute per connection.
* Clients set up with a `frontpagelabs.co` URL keep working without signing in again: the discovery metadata, OAuth issuer and tokens stay on the host the client uses. A manual key works on either host. An OAuth client that switches its URL to `crakseo.com` signs in once more.

The same five tools are also available on the main `/api/mcp` endpoint for keys with indexing scopes.

## Example client configuration

```json theme={null}
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "crakseo-indexing": {
      "url": "https://crakseo.com/api/indexing/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${CRAKSEO_INDEXING_KEY}" }
    }
  }
}
```

Keep the key in the client's secret store; never commit a real token.
