# Tasks

A **task** is an instruction that one [profile](https://docs.crakseo.com/product/concepts/agents.md) runs on a schedule, in its own task chat. Create and edit tasks on the profile's **Tasks** page (or in its chat); see every task in the project at **Profiles > Work queue** (`/app/profiles/work`).

| Field | Rules |
| - | - |
| Title | Up to 120 characters |
| Instruction | Up to 4,000 characters |
| Repeat | Once (on a date), daily, weekdays, or weekly on chosen days |
| Time | `HH:MM`, 24-hour, in the task's timezone (defaults to the project timezone, then UTC) |
| Data access | Inherits the agent's tables and connections, or narrows them (never broadens) |

Due tasks are picked up every 5 minutes. If the agent is busy, the task waits up to 10 minutes. A one-off task turns itself off once it has started. Each run's result is `done`, `failed`, `needs_you` or `skipped`.
